Eye-opening results show public suspicion that Trump is hiding something about Epstein.

Poll: Majority of Americans Believe Trump Is Covering Up Epstein Files
A new YouGov/Economist poll reveals a sharp decline in public trust toward Donald Trump’s administration following the Justice Department’s update on the Jeffrey Epstein case.

Public Doubts Run Deep
Between July 11 and 14, the poll asked Americans whether they believed the government was hiding evidence related to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes. The results were striking:

67% believe the government is involved in a cover-up

25% said they’re unsure

Only 8% believe there is no cover-up

These findings deal a blow to Trump’s credibility, especially among former allies.

Backlash Builds Over Epstein Memo
Last week, the Department of Justice and FBI released a two-page memo confirming two key points:

Epstein died by suicide in 2019

There is no evidence that a “client list” exists

The memo also stated that Epstein did not blackmail any high-profile figures, contradicting long-held conspiracy theories about a secret black book listing powerful individuals involved in his crimes.

Former Allies Turn Critical
The memo sparked outrage from Trump’s former supporters. Elon Musk accused him of a cover-up, while Joe Rogan blasted the administration for backtracking. Rogan pointed out that Attorney General Pam Bondi previously claimed she had the client list “on her desk.”

“They’ve got videotape and now suddenly they don’t?” Rogan asked on his podcast.
“Didn’t Pam Bondi say that?”

Bondi later clarified she was referring to a general Epstein file—not a specific list of names.

Trump Responds to Backlash
In response to the criticism, Trump took to Truth Social:

“We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD… and ‘selfish people’ are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies—Jeffrey Epstein.”

He also defended Bondi and dismissed reporters’ Epstein-related questions as inappropriate, citing more urgent national tragedies like the deadly Texas floods.

Americans Want Transparency
The poll also asked whether all Epstein-related documents should be released:

79% said yes

17% were unsure

Only 5% opposed releasing them

This overwhelming demand for transparency places more pressure on Trump and his administration.

Final Thoughts
As trust erodes and allies distance themselves, the Trump administration faces mounting public scrutiny. The Epstein controversy is far from over—and many Americans want answers.
