A recently surfaced photo of Joe and Hunter Biden is drawing attention due to the individual they’re seen meeting

Note: we are republishing this story which originally made the news in December 2024.

Biden Family Faces Renewed Scrutiny
The Biden family is under fresh scrutiny after newly uncovered photos revealed Hunter Biden meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping and top officials during a 2013 visit to Beijing. At the time, Joe Biden served as vice president under the Obama administration.

The images show Joe Biden introducing Hunter to high-ranking Chinese leaders, including then-Vice President Li Yuanchao, as well as business figures tied to BHR Partners, a Chinese investment firm linked to Hunter’s financial dealings.

Legal Troubles and a Sweeping Pardon
These revelations arrive as Hunter Biden continues to face legal and ethical controversies. Earlier this year, a court convicted him for illegally obtaining a firearm and failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes between 2016 and 2019.

Despite promising not to use his office for family gain, President Biden issued a full and unconditional pardon for Hunter on December 1. The pardon covers any crimes committed from January 1, 2014, to December 1, 2024, wiping out existing convictions and shielding against future prosecution during that period.

Critics Cry Foul Over Influence and Corruption
The decision has triggered intense backlash. Republican lawmakers and conservative watchdogs argue the pardon undermines justice and shields Hunter from accountability. They claim the new photos further illustrate how Hunter leveraged his father’s political influence for personal business interests.

Michael Ding, legal counsel for America First Legal, responded:

“Even as President Biden pardons Hunter for a decade of wrongdoing, evidence keeps emerging of the family’s abuse of Joe Biden’s public office for personal enrichment.”

Congressional Response and Ongoing Investigations
Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs also criticized the pardon, writing on X:

“Hunter’s pardon removes his Fifth Amendment rights. Congress must ensure he testifies under oath. The truth won’t stay hidden forever.”

Meanwhile, GOP lawmakers vow to continue their investigation into what they call the “Biden Crime Family Syndicate.” With Donald Trump potentially returning to office, Republicans are expected to intensify their efforts.

Bigger Questions Loom
As more evidence surfaces, public debate around transparency, ethics, and accountability in government continues to grow. These developments raise serious questions about the use of political power, family ties, and the boundaries of presidential privilege.
