Valerie Bertinelli is bidding farewell

Valerie Bertinelli bid farewell to her cooking show, revealing both good and bad news in an Instagram video. The good news is the airing of the 14th season of “Valerie’s Home Cooking,” while the bad news is that it’s the final season, as Food Network canceled it last summer. Fellow food enthusiast Rae Drummond expressed disappointment in the comments.

Bertinelli also opened up about the emotional and mental abuse she endured in a past relationship. In another Instagram post, she mentioned a “hidden bruise” activated by wearing pants. She explained how these “hidden bruises” result from emotional and mental abuse, emphasizing the impact they have on daily life. Despite challenges, she expressed gratitude for her healing journey.

Earlier, Bertinelli detailed trauma from her marriage to Tom Vitale, discussing abusive text messages and the impact on her self-esteem. She highlighted the importance of therapy and sobriety in addressing past trauma. While moving forward, she shared her commitment to feeling and processing emotions, refusing to let others diminish her happiness.

In a recent TikTok video, Bertinelli celebrated the end of “Dry January,” contemplating extending the alcohol cleanse. She also discussed her healing journey, including Rolfing, a form of bodywork. The chef’s openness resonated with followers, offering support and understanding for her experiences.
