FBI Agent Kash Patel said Monday that DNA on a towel wrapped around the gun suspected of killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk has matched the suspect in the shooting, who is not in custody.
Tyler Robinson, 22, has been arrested in connection with the death and injuries to a man’s arm during a University of Utah event on Wednesday.
A rifle was found near the scene of the shooting and a screwdriver was found on the roof from where the gun was fired.
“I can report today that DNA from the towel that was wrapped around the gun and DNA on the screwdriver have matched the suspect in custody,” Patel told Fox and Friends.
