Trump Booed At FIFA Final After Awkward Trophy Moment Leaves Players Confused

The emotions to Donald Trump joining Chelsea FC in celebrating the FIFA Club World Cup on Sunday have been dissected by a body language specialist.

Trump watched the UK football team Chelsea F.C. defeat Paris Saint-German 3-0 in a commanding performance at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.

The Blues jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first half thanks to a double from talisman Cole Palmer and a strike from newcomer João Pedro. João Neves of PSG’s straight red in the second half only made things worse for the French team.

Following the game, the POTUS assisted FIFA President Gianni Infantino in presenting the trophy to the Chelsea team and even participated in the festivities.

Trump gave the medal to Chelsea captain Reece James, but he remained standing with the team as they celebrated their victory while Infantino took himself out of the picture.

Many people on the internet referred to Trump’s actions as “embarrassing” as a result of the entire embarrassing incident.

Darren Stanton, a body language specialist, provided insight into the Chelsea players’ responses to Trump’s presence during their celebration.

Speaking on behalf of OLBGI, Stanton said, “Reece James, who’s got the trophy initially, I don’t think he’s too fazed by Donald Trump. I think he’s just like in the moment, he’s ecstatic about the win, holding the trophy up.”

It’s talisman Cole Palmer who looks the most perplexed, with the body language expert adding, “Cole Palmer, who is standing behind Trump, it’s quite a tight shot, and he’s like ‘What’s he doing here? Like what’s he got to do with it?.”

“Palmer looks a bit perplexed as to why Trump is there. He’s got a sort of look of confusion and bewilderment on his face.”

Additionally, Stanton offered his analysis of Trump’s body language, asserting that the president appears quite “disingenuous” during the festivities.

“I think Trump is so disingenuous, he’s got such a fake smile, a masking smile, it’s almost like a dad at a wedding, he’s trying to show excitement, but he’s like a fish out of water,” added the expert.

“Trump makes these kinds of fist gestures and jumps up and down. I just think Trump is trying his best to get involved in the excitement, but not really authentic.”

Palmer said in a post-match statement that he was confused by Trump’s refusal to exit the stage.

He told the press, “I knew he was going to be there, but I didn’t know he was going be on the stand where we lift the trophy. So, I was a bit confused.”
