Firefighter at the Accident Site Shares Princess Diana’s Last Heartbreaking Words

The world was shocked to learn of Princess Diana’s terrible death early on August 31, 1997. The adored Princess of Wales died in a horrifying vehicle accident at Paris’s Pont de l’Alma tunnel.

Henri Paul, the driver, and Dodi Fayed, her friend, also died. Trevor Rees-Jones, the bodyguard, was the lone survivor.

One of the first people on the site was firefighter Xavier Gourmelon. He recently talked about the last minutes he saw Princess Diana. He was the last person to hear her speak, according to Gourmelon.

Diana’s final words, said in the mayhem of the collision, were, “My God, what’s happened?” Her dread and uncertainty were portrayed in these few words.

Since she seemed stable when they arrived, Gourmelon and his crew initially believed that her injuries were not life-thr**tening.
